Management Profile

Alex Emmanuel

Founder Director of PEOPLEPLUS®, Alex Emmanuel brings to the table expertise - proven & recognized - in the field of HR, over a span of 25 years, across companies and industries.

Among the key responsibilities he has shouldered, in his illustrious career, are: as Group Vice President, Human Resources with Tata Sons, where he spearheaded a number of key group level initiatives: as Vice President with Tata Liebert (currently Emerson Electric) where he simultaneously carried out assignments as Head of HR, Corporate Communications, TQM & Sales and contributed to the company turn around and helped the company gain recognitions at the National level: as part of the consultancy assignments, he helped many companies move up the HR Maturity Curve. Currently, he is Executive Coach to the Leadership Team at MRF, a Rs. 8,000 crore company.

A post graduate in Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mr.Emmanuel is a certified senior assessor of the MBNQAM / EFQM Models of Total Quality Management / Business Excellence, and worked in various capacities with Excel Industries Limited, Asea Brown Boveri, Boehringer Mannheim (currently Piramal Health Care) and with the Tata group (with Tata Liebert, Tata Tele Services & The Tata Sons Limited).

Mr.Emmanuel has also been on the faculty / advisory boards of prestigious academic institutions and he is a member on the senate of the SNDT Women's University.

Mr. Emmanuel has served / serves on the boards of ITEL (Tata Keltron),Edu Max India / EFLI / CDI Capital Services & Sunday Ventures LLP.

Despite his numerous professional commitments, Emmanuel is also actively involved in Leprosy Relief, Educational Sponsorship and other social initiatives, as well being a trustee of three NGOs.

T.R Doongaji

Currently Director of PEOPLEPLUS® and an Independent Director on various company boards, T.R. Doongaji is an accomplished professional with 42 years of experience with the Tata Group where he retired as MD of two and Jt. MD of one Group Company.

Recipient of the Yuva Rattan Award, 1992 for Contribution to Industry, Doongaji is also the first recipient of the Ethics in Business Award, 2006 from the International Association for Human Values, Brussels.

A Gold Medalist and a J N Tata Scholar, Doongaji holds two Masters Degrees in Political Science from the University of Jabalpur and Berkeley, California. He also holds a Diploma in Business Management and is a certified Corporate Director from the Institute of Directors, UK.

He is also engaged in training senior corporate managers at companies of the Tata Group, GAIL, and Mahindra and Mahindra amongst others.

Besides these, Doongaji is also Advisor to the Tata Central Archives, Pune, a Trustee of CSMVS, formerly known as the Prince of Wales Museum, and the Forbes Charitable Trust, as well as Dean of Business Excellence in two Management Institutes in Mumbai. He is also acclaimed as a professional speaker.

His interests include support to worthy social causes such as scientific management of e-waste and education.

Donald Baker

An Advisor to the PEOPLEPLUS® Board and Chairman of Claremont Graduate University's Board of Trustees, Donald P. Baker is a noted US attorney who retired as a partner from Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles in 2007. He is also Chairman and CEO of CDI Capital Group, LLC and CDI Capital Funds, Ltd.

Currently, President, Board of Trustees, Baker has served on the CGU Board in various capacities since 2002, including as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Facilities & Infrastructure Committee.

As an attorney, Baker specialized in land use, zoning and real property law, and worked extensively with non-profits. He is a recipient of the prestigious Shattuck-Price Memorial Award given by the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and also received a commendatory resolution for service to the community and the legal profession from the Los Angeles City Council.

A person of varied interests and talents, Baker has also been Chairman of the California Art Club, past Chairman and current member of the Board of Directors of the Japan America Society of Southern California, a past President and current member of the Board of Directors of the Western Justice Center Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors of the Communications Institute and the Latino Theatre Company and a past President of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

Anuj Kataria

Vice Chairman & Executive Director of PEOPLEPLUS®, Anuj Katarina is a graduate of the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA) who has brought the experience, discipline and efficiency of his military service to a highly successful career as an HR / Management professional.

After a successful stint as an HR professional,Mr. Kataria joined MMPL, a multi-location plastic injection molding company, as Vice President (Corporate Affairs) where he has spearheaded the restructuring of the company and the evolution of a people centric HR structure that has propelled a fast track growth for the company.

A post graduate in Science, Kataria has completed courses in various management specializations from IIM, Ahmedabad and Kolkata as well as the BSE Institute. He is also pursuing an Executive M.Sc. (EngineeringBusiness Management) from Warwick University.

Pallavi Wagle

Currently the Practice Head - Processes at PEOPLEPLUS®, Pallavi Wagle has had years of rich and varied experience in evolving & deploying HR Processes.

Pallavi is an MBA in HR from the University of Pune, India.
